FIWARE.Request.Tech.Security.IDM-KeyRock.ApplicationCreation

    Details

    • HD-Chapter:
      Security
    • HD-Enabler:
      KeyRock

      Description

Web Browser: Google Chrome version 38.0.2125.104
      Operating System: OSX version 10.9.3
      User id: wirecloud

      Description:

In the Account view users are able to create new applications and
      organizations.

We clicked on create a new application and filled in the form, where we
were asked to specify a URL for our application.

The issue is that we can type any url we want and the system does not
check if it is a correct value. In the image ‘Create new application url
issue_1’ we can see the form and in the picture ‘Create new application url
issue_2’ we can see how the url was saved with an incorrect value.

      How to replicate:
      1. Log in Fi-lab
      2. Click on ‘Account’
      3. Click on ‘Register’, to create a new application.
      4. Fill in the form that the system displays.
      5. Type an incorrect URL value
      6. Click ‘Next’
      7. Select the application’s icon and click next
      8. Select the roles and permissions and click ‘Finish’

This has nothing to do with Wirecloud, the issue is related with the IdM component.

The URL field is only an informative field for the owner of the application. It's not used internally. So it can be anything
