      Description

      Hello,

I'm trying to access a instance in the firware lab, but I can't connect to
      it using ssh.

I've created a instance, assigned a public ip, created a keypair and a
custom security group and assigned them both to the instance. The security
group opens port 22 for my ip. As username I have tried the login name for
the fiware lab account and root, both result in a timed out request. I'm
      connecting from mac with

      ssh -i my-certificate.pem user@host-ip-address

What can I do to login successfully?

      With kind regards,

      Marco Tillemans

        Hello,

I'm mailing to the list again, since I haven't got a reply from
jira-help-desk@jira.fiware.org on my last mails for 6 days. I'd like to
review a few steps when creating a instance to see if I'm using the correct
settings (see attached mail below). Can I get any assistance here or should
I ask this question somewhere else?

        With kind regards,

        Marco Tillemans

        Hi Marco,

You have to select the network whose name is node-int-net-01.

If you want to deploy the instance with a public IP, first you have to allocate a public IP to the project in the "security section" and this should be the IP that you need to associate to the instance. If you have only a network (the previous network name) you do not need to select several ones due to you only have one.

        Hello Fernando,

Thanks for your response. I've created a new instance while only
associating the node-int-net-01 network. I've tried to associate a public
ip to it, but get the following error message

{"badRequest": {"message": "Unable to associate floating ip 10.1.66.181 to
fixed ip 192.168.222.4 for instance 70e74415-15ab-43c7-a02c-0d60b7e194ab.
Error: External network 38a6b9b6-0ab8-4461-bd03-061f3a861090 is not
        reachable from subnet 69c950ea-5ca6-462e-a023-8c022507266c. Therefore,
cannot associate Port dd23ffc9-8329-4a9b-a478-82f9231ce7d9 with a Floating
        IP.", "code": 400}}

What should I do to resolve this error? I've also tried the
node-int-net-01-dual, but I'm getting similar error messages.

        With kind regards,

        Marco Tillemans

        Hi,

No user name or ID of 'marcotillemans@gmail.com' exists. Can you tell us your user, please?

Anyway, I think I've guessed who you are. Can you try to ssh again your instance and tell me something about your source IP? If you'd prefer you can send me a private email with this data so I can test.

        Regards,
        José Ignacio.
