      Description

      Hi,
I'm just starting with FIWARE Lab. So far I've been able to create an Ubuntu 14.04 server instance (region Spain2). I can connect to it over SSH. I have some questions about network access:
      1. How can I access a web-based application on this server? (I'm testing our inhouse-developed J2EE app). I got an external IP address assigned but it only works over SSH, not a web browser.
I tried to create a network as shown in this video tutorial around 1 minute 30 seconds:"FIWARE: Deploy VM With Networks"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fAVH3b67hP8
But when I enter the required information and click the "Create" button, nothing happens. How do I know what network address to enter here? In the example they used 192.168.53.0/28
      2. I understand that I'm allowed one public IP addresses and 3 lab servers. How can I access more than one server at a time without having to reassign the external IP address?

      Thanks for your help,Fred

Regarding the first question, Can I assume that you have open the server web port in the security group?

        Comment by fredf@sourcepulse.com :

        Good morning,
        Thanks for responding.
I created a security group called test-sg with ports 80 and 22 open as shown in the video starting at 45 seconds:
        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fAVH3b67hP8#t=45s

Under Security Groups for my group test-sg I have:
IP Protocol From Port To Port Source Action
        TCP 80 80 0.0.0.0/0 (CIDR) TCP 22 22 0.0.0.0/0 (CIDR)
I even tried opening port 80 in the default security group but it made no difference.
I'm using the network named "public-ext-net-01", is that correct?
In the video, after creating the security group they create a network and subnet. As I mentioned in my previous e-mail, I can't do that because nothing happens when I click the "Create" button in the network dialog.
Since my last email, I created a 2nd server, also with Ubuntu 14.04.I can ssh into the first server (server1) with the public IP address, and I can ssh and FTP from server1 to server2.
I'd appreciate your help with the web access problem, and understanding why I can't create a network or subnet. I'm also curious about how to access more than one server over the web with the single public address. Is there a way to configure port forwarding to allow that?
        Thanks,

        Hi Fernando,
Thanks for writing. It's working now.I tried creating a new server instance and installing a different software package (Oracle 11g for Linux).I configured it to enable the web admin console and in the security groups I opened ports 8080 and 1521 that it required.I disassociated my public IP address from the previous server instance and assigned it to this new one. Now I can open that Oracle console in my browser.
I'm not sure if it was an issue with my other software installation or a temporary network problem between here and there. But now that this is resolved, I can continue working on our project with FIWARE.
Thank you for your help, please close this ticket.
