      Description

      Hello,

I tried to create an instance on FIWARE lab, just to test now, because am
going to help people with FIWARE in a hackathon (associated with the
CreatiFI accelerator in Helsinki) the coming weekend.

Already had an account associated to this email (toni.alatalo@gmail.com).

When trying to create a basic instance there, a ubuntu 14.04 base image, it
reports an error. I was not able to find any other information about the
error besides that the gui shows ERROR in the status. Log did not show
      anything. Screenshot attached.

This is on Karlskrona2 region which seems to be the only option for that
      account.

Should I create a new account with some other email address to get a
working account, or what would you recommend?

      ~Toni

Please try to relaunch, it sometimes just does not work for unclear reasons. Make sure that you have not allocated too much resources to the instance (start small).

        thanks.

but do I need / want to use the Karlskrona2 region?

I'd like to have the account work with normal defaults, the same way as new
accounts would work for people in the hackathon, using whatever region is
recommended in general (is there such a recommendation?)

This depends on which type of account you have:

        • community accounts have an associated region
        • trial accounts are usually associated to Spain
        • basic account can work in the region on the linked organisation

Please check your account type in your profile (https://account.lab.fiware.org/settings/ —> Account Status) and if you have particular requests you can ask to the accelerator coach.
