      Description

      Hello,

      i received an issue about a VM malfunctioning.
      Plase find the issue below:


      We are FACT company with FACTUAL project.
      The problem we have is that our instance on Fiware cloud named
      "ubntuMySqlGlass" is in state SHUTOFF and we cannot do anything about that.
      We have lots of work on that instance and we would not like to delete and
      create new instance.

      The region is Lannion2...I don't know about ID...

          Dear Aggelos,

          We have restarted your instance. We saw some problems during the fsck checking at boot and we proceeded to repair it. Now it seems that everything is alright. Can you confirm?

          We also would like to remind you to not forget to take regular snapshots of your instances that you deployed. This is a really important step to do because it is the only way to restore your instance in case of failure from your side, but also if there is a crash of the compute node where your failing instance is hosted. Instance’s snapshots are stored into our object storage which is fully distributed then it is a secure point to host your backup data.
          To summarize:

          • We take the responsibility to save your instance's snapshot.
          • But It is your responsibility to make a regular snapshot of your instances, not ours.
