Dear all, sorry for late respons. I was out of the office for few days.
I am not sure what should be the concept of blueprint if not creating a
template that other users can easily use?
If I may refer to the "Questionnaire for FIWARE usage assessment" question
        1.c:
Q: Will you define a blueprint of your app that will allow FIWARE Cloud
users (e.g., FIWARE Lab users or commercial FIWARE cloud instance users in
the future) to deploy instances of your app?
My A: yes, I will setup my own service as add-on on GIS Data Provider (ie.
as GeoServer extension) with all configuration needed to run the DigMap
        service.

so it seems I have been stuck

        Srdačno, Krunoslav

        Hi Krunoslav,

You can create a blueprint template, but AFAIK you cannot create a blueprint
template from an already running instance deployed from a blueprint instance.
Can you confirm this is really what you want ? If yes, I will create a ticket
to developer team in order to know if this feature is available or foresee.

All I know is that you can create an instance template from an already running
instance (deployed by blueprint or not), by snapshotting it and relaunching it
        from its snapshot.

I insist on the AFAIK because I am dedicated to Lannion node maintenance and I
may not know all the blueprint features. Blueprint are not related to region
node but are related to fiware-lab federation. .

        Best Regards,

        Erwan

        Dear Erwan,

thank you for prompt answer. I am not sure what does it mean "you can
        create a blueprint template".

I can rather easy explain my intentions. I need to configure a VM, and this
VM should be used as a quick start template for those who would like to
present their open geo-spatial data and enable dissemination in form of
digital map excerpt, with digitally signed .pdf and embedded vector data.

Setting and configuring VM on its own is rather demanding (installing
tomcat7, Geoserver deployment, adding extensions, configuring extensions,
configuring Apache …) so a ready-made virtual machine called DigMap would
        made a significant effort relief.

        Srdačno, Krunoslav

        Hi Krunoslav,

I think there was some misunderstanding between us. When you first talked
about about this need in a previous ticket update, you mentioned blueprint
feature, and this why I may have wrongly understood your request.

Like I said in my previous answer, yes it is possible and allowed to create a
snapshot from an instance and then use it as a template to launch new
instances. The snapshot will be seen by all users/ members of the
organization, and all of them can also use the snapshot to launch a new
instance from it. So you can do what you are requesting J

Please be aware that you must use a cloud-friendly in order to optimize your
snapshot template. As an infrastructure owner, we are not managing images
available on our node as they are provided by the fiware-lab federation. The
only one image we are providing and that I can advice you to use is :

        Name: UbuntuCloud-14.04

        ID: 1e2ad593-b201-4a44-8651-513596cbe85a

Without any further question, we will close the ticket.

        Best Regards,

        Erwan
