FIWARE.Request.Lab.Lannion.Unable to download Glance images.

      Hello

      I am trying to download a Glance image from the Lannion2 region to my PC using the Glance client.
      When using the internet, the download never successfully finishes and breaks with a "connection timed out" error. I tried several times (6+) and never got better than 2G of a 2.7G total.

      So i decided first to download the image onto an instance located inside the Lannion2 region and then to use a third party tool compatible with resumable download to fetch the image. But it didn't work either. For some reason, the API access is blocked inside the region.

      Is there any other way for me to retrieve my image ?.

        Hi,

        The API of OpenStack in Lannion2 was not accessible from instances belonging to Lannion2. We changed it and this is now allowed, then commands like "glance --debug image-download --file panamax_fic2lab_runner_1f062b80-6ff6-4667-85bb-922227a13d68.qcow2 1f062b80-6ff6-4667-85bb-922227a13d68" should work on Lannion2 instances.

        We also tried to download from a server on internet, an image located in our node, and it has been successful (3Gb downloaded in 2-3 min) without any "connection timed out" error.

        This information has been communicated to the users by email and we are waiting from his answer.
