      Description

      Hello,

      i was taking a course on the Gateway Data Handling GE - EspR4FastData : http://edu.fi-ware.org/mod/scorm/view.php?id=192

      And i was wondering if this was obsolete? What i remarked is that the quickstart tutorial does not match the course given. It's mabe 2 different Version.
      Example : in the Edu version it says to start the CEP instance with a POST method to "POST http://

      {ServerRoot}

      /Esper4FastData-x.y.z/cep/instance " -> This is not working.

      As for the programmers guige : http://forge.fi-ware.org/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/Gateway_Data_Handling_-_Esper4FastData_-_User_and_Programmers_Guide#Steps_To_Follow_Before_Starting_The_Tutorial
      This step does not apear.

        Dear Ahmad,

        The users and programmers guide is mostly up to date and consistent with the 3.3.3 software version.

        However, it is true there are few discrepancies between this guide and the video course in fiware academy.

        But overall, the course has kept its meaning, despite the software evolutions that have occurred over time: only the third (last) video has been impacted by some software evolutions.

        You are right regarding the "start CEP instance" step: it is no longer required.

        My advice is to follow the users and programmers guide, which should be completely consistent with the provided SoapUI test steps quickstart.

        So to eventually and clearly answer your question: yes, the course is kind of obsolete, but remains ok for most of the features, and for all the mentioned concepts.

        Best regards,

        Laurent

        Dear Laurent,
        my advice is to keep the training material (videos, slides, webinars)
        updated ... many people is starting to look at the Academy contents and
        they should be supported properly in their firsts steps ... this is crucial.

        thank you and
        kind regards,
        Davide
