        Dear,

        Can you send us:

        • the external IP address on which you are trying to connect
        • the security group you are using (a screen-shot would be ok)
        • the instance name

        Daniele

        Dear,

Please keep the mailing list in the reply.

Sorry for the stupid questions but:

        • Is ssh daemon running on the instance ?
        • Do you have any firewall active in your instance ? Try with: iptables -L
        • Can you double check this ?

After a quick check I see that on port 80 somebody respond, but I’m not sure is your instance to do it.
Could be a network issue on the Zürich region responsible to not forward traffic to your instance. To check this and then ask help to Zürich support I kindly ask to you to try the following:

        1) Start a tcpdump on the instance (from the console): tcpdump -i eth0 (use your interface name)
        2) Initiate some requests from your computer, like: telnet 10.0.176.71 80 or ping 10.0.176.71 (in this case you should add ICMP to your SecurityGroup)
        3) See if traffic reach your machine or not front he tcpdump command output

        Daniele

        Apologies for reverting so late.

We had an issue with the metadata service in our earlier installation. The problem has been largely fixed with the upgrade to the latest version of Openstack. However, we have not fully integrated as yet, so it is not fully available.

It should be operational next week.
