FIWARE.Request.General.FIWARE.Request.Tech.Questions concerning FIWARE platfom.

    Details

      Description

      Dear Sir or Madam,

I currently finalize the technical part of our proposal for FIWARE accelerator SpeedUP! and have got a few technical questions concerning the FIWARE platform:

      1. Reliability: How reliable is the platform so far?
      2. Elasticity: Is there a way to define rules for automated scaling of FIWARE virtual machines and storage?
      3. Mobility: Does the platform provides monitoring (and reporting) of virtual machines and storage especially with mobile support (push notifications, etc.)?

Thank you for your help in this matter.

      Yours sincerely,
      Sascha Kuntze

        Dear Mr. Kuntze,

Sorry for the belated reply. Very quickly.
1.-The platform is composed of many GEs. Theoretically all has been tested internally. First we had the internal quality assurance prior to the delivery performed by each GE owner. Then, we have been performing friendly testing with teams that are from different companies.

2.- It is developed already in the Policy Manager. However, this is not yet integrated with the PaaS Manager. And the portal does not have the facilities to input such data either (not yet).

3.- Yes, the VMs are monitored and the info is centralised and distributed. There is a component ("SLA Manager") that reacts when a threshold is reached. I believe that it also sent notifications.

        Best regards,

        Miguel
