      Description

      Hi,

I have created a Fiware lab account in order to experiment with fiware components . I a trying to start off with Orion, but I don’t understand how to connect to the orion instance I created. I have assigned it a Floating IP, but I don’t seem to be able to connect to it. Is there any help on how to start with fiware lab?

      regards,
      rob

        Dear Rob,
Your email account doesn't seem to belong to the FIWARE Lab users.

Anyway, The most common problen with not being able to connect to Orion is opening port TCP 1026 in your security rules in your security group.

        Best regards,
        José Ignacio

        Dear Jose,

Thanks for the help; I saw that I sent the message from the wrong email address; I am actually registered with rob@quilibet.eu.

I have attached a screenshot from the security group rules; Do I need to add another rule for 1026? If so, What do I need to specify as "remote"? I am working form 2 locations with different IP addresses, so I am not sure what to enter for CIDR.

        TIA,
        rob

Yes, you have to add at least 2 new rules (or a generic one).

You must open Ingress traffic to ports 1026 and 22. You can open it for general traffic (CIDR 0.0.0.0/0) or one for IP. It would be easier to open it for general traffic.

        Best regards,
        José Ignacio
