      Description

      Dear team,

I have created an account in Fiware lab and am part of TU/e (Eindhoven University of Technology ), ISBE (Information systems and built environment) lab. I have created an instance of Ubuntu image and associated a floating IP to it, but the IP is not accessible on pinging. Can you help me and let me know how should I resolve this issue and proceed further?
FIWARE seems to be an important project where our lab can invest in.

      Kind Regards,
      Harshita

        Hi Harshita
We think solution to this problem could be adding 'ICMP' rule in your security group. Follow below steps to do the same:
        1. Login to Fiware lab dashboard using your credentials.
        2. On the "Project" tab, open the “Compute” tab. The “Access & Security” tab shows the security groups that are available for your project.
        3. Select your security group that you want associate with your instance and click “Manage Rules”.
        4. To allow Ping access, click Add Rule.
        5. In the Add Rule dialog box, enter the following values:
        Rule: All ICMP
        Direction: Ingress
        Remote: CIDR
        CIDR: 0.0.0.0/0
        Now Click on Add button

Please revert in case of any concern.

        Thanks and Regards
