Description

Dear FI-Lab staff,

Our company XLAB has recently joined the FINESCE project (for the WP3
Open Call) to develop the presentation layer. We were encouraged to use
FI-WARE cloud services and GEs as much as possible.

After a couple of days of getting to know your OpenStack dashboard we
have not made much progress due to errors and delays of the interface.
Yesterday we tried deleting our instances to create new ones (due to the
limit of 3 per user), but they are still in progress of deletion with no
updates.

I am sure this will be fixed, but to prevent future problems of this
sort, we are considering using our own private OpenStack infrastructure
which we are already using on other projects of our company. Would you
be able to provide any images of the GE installations which would speed
up our setup? Could downloads of the ones on the dashboard be enabled?

Dear Marko,

We set up a dedicated environment for the PPP (the FI-WARE Testbed) on
http://testbed.fi-ware.org/

I do not know why Use Cases keep on using FI-Lab, that is shared with
everyone on the internet. There are a limited number of cases where this
is not possible and you need to use FI-Lab. But the Testbed should be
able to cater for most of the needs of the UCs.

Hi Henar,

Thank you very much, it seems to be fixed now. We were not aware of the
separate testbed for the PPP. However, it looks that our domain
(xlab.si) is not whitelisted yet, so we cannot register an account for
the testbed. I have also applied for an account in the GE Catalogue
yesterday, for which I did not receive any confirmation.
