      Wirecloud

      Description

Web Browser: Google Chrome version 38.0.2125.104
      Operating System: OSX version 10.9.3
      User id: wirecloud

      Description:

Users are unable to create a new workspace from the wiring map view. There
is an option button but if users click on it nothing happens and no options
      are displayed.

In the image named ‘Unable to create a new workspace from the wiring map_1’
we can see the options button.

      How to replicate:

      1. Log in
      2. Go to the wiring map view
      3. Click on the option button in order to create a new workspace.

This is the expected behaviour. Currently that button is disabled in the Wiring Editor view because the wiring editor does not provide any operation through that menu. We are working on improving the wiring editor and is going to have options and more buttons in a near future.

Anyway, I don't find a good reason for creating a new workspace from the wiring. Do you have any use case?

          Best regards,
          Álvaro

          Dear Alvaro,

We agree with you about the fact that it isn't necessary to create a workspace while we're using the wiring editor (the idea of that editor implies that you already had your workspace and some components included at the moment you need to use it).

Instead of that, our suggestion is to hide the options button until the moment you decide to add new functionality to the menu, just for doing things easier and less-confusing to the user.

Won't be fixed, the update to the new wiring view is imminent and we don't have time to work on it.
