FIWARE.Request.Tech.Data.CEP.Blueprint template

    Details

    • HD-Chapter:
      Data
    • HD-Enabler:
      CEP

      Description

      Web Browser: Firefox 33.0
      Operating System: OSX version 10.9.5
      User id: cloudtestulpgc
      Tenant: 00000000000000000000000000006443
      Priority:5

      Description
If a user launch the CEP blueprint template, resulting instance doesn’t
      have the CEP installed.
Can check accessing the VM via ssh, and trying to find the ProtonApp.jar
file. launchProton.sh file cannot be found too.

      Reference documentation (http://forge.fi-ware.org):

      Running
To run the Proton engine jar, open a command prompt in the folder you
extracted the Proton zip file, and use the following cmd command: java
      -Djava.util.logging.config.file=.\config\logging.properties -jar
ProtonApp.jar or alternatively if you want to specify a different
      Proton.properties file: java
      -Djava.util.logging.config.file=.\config\logging.properties -jar
      ProtonApp.jar c:\temp\proton\config\myProton.properties

      End to end testing
To verify that the the Proactive Technology Online engine is running, open
a command prompt in the folder you extracted the Proton zip file and run
the launchProton.bat batch file (on Windows) or launchProton.sh (on Linux).
You should see that events are sent to the engine and it processes them
      without any exception.

How to replicate: Clone and launch the cep blueprint template from the Open
      Catalog.

The image includes the CEP on webserver version, and not the stand alone one.
Its activation and operation is done through the Tomcat/Rest calls.

The open specification (REST api) can be found at [0]
Running instruction and sanity check instruction can be found at [1]

It seems that the confusing comes from the Programmer Guide. I updated it.
