[Fiware-tech-help] Smart city project

          Description

          Dear Sir/Madam,

          I'm writing you in regards to a project that I'm involved in to implement
          IoT in a city in Denmark and would like to know if your platform can be the
          right fit for it.

          Initially, we are looking at implementing beacons in a number of attractions
          around the city that can send notification to users that have an application
          installed. This notification should ideally be using wi-fi signal.

          As the user takes action on the notification the mobile app should provide
          them with more details about the attraction, including videos, description,
          etc. In addition, we want to integrate a list of other POI's within the city
          such as restaurants, shops, etc. that can also be included in the initial
          notification from the attraction, if such POI is within a certain range.

          We are very new to IoT and exploring what possibilities are available. We
          see that you have a fundamental structure in place within the IoT world and
          therefore would appreciate discussing with you how this project can be made
          possible using Fiware technology.

            Sorry for the delay in the response but I was on vacation last week.

            Yes, your project can be implemented using FIWARE technologies. In fact we already have a FIWARE Accelerated Company https://outbarriers.com/en/ that has successfully deployed a similar project in Granada, Spain.

            Initially you can use the FIWARE Orion Context Broker to store all the data about the beacons, their situation and even the POIs you are going to deal with. FIWARE as well provides data models that will allow you to model your POIs, see https://www.fiware.org/data-models

            In any case I will be more than happy to know more about your project and explore further, technical assessment, collaboration and showcasing opportunities. FIWARE is usually present at different relevant industry fairs and events and is interested in showcasing the best applications

            • do you support beacons using wifi/frames?
            • can you recommend which beacons we can use with your technology through wifi?
            • overall structure of your platform
            • how to pass content to the mobile?
            • integration with your enables/models

            This week is difficult for me as I will attending a meeting and then Easter days are coming.
