Operating System: Ubuntu 64bits version 14.04

      Description:

There are some inconsistencies in the documentation:

The content of the .zip file that we have downloaded from here:
      http://catalogue.fi-ware.org/enablers/nec-iot-broker/downloads, it is not
the same as the information given in The Installation and Administration
      guide (
      https://forge.fi-ware.org/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/IoT_Broker_-_Installation_and_Administration_Guide
      )

The instructions given in the documentation are totally different from the
instructions in the README.md (which is inside the .zip folder that we
      downloaded)

      Images attached.

        Hello,

we were assigned a task which consists in the development of an application using the IoT broker GE.
We have come to this same problem. The documentation is outdated and spread across several wiki pages and has some errors. The files in the zip mentioned on the documentation are nowhere to be found.

It seems that for this GE to work it needs another GE (ConfMan or Configuration Manager). This is not mentioned anywhere but on the page of the OpenSpecification for the IoT Backend IoT Broker (https://forge.fi-ware.org/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/FIWARE.OpenSpecification.IoT.Backend.IoTBroker).

The documentation is also lacking some instructions on requirements to correctly deploy the IoT GE on a local machine (apache configuration, etc.).

Thank you for pointing out these issues.

The difference between the README.me and the Installation and Administration Guide is that the further is intended as the compilation instruction and the former is meant as the installation instruction for the binary version.

WE are about to rework the documentation and publish a new version in the middle of May 2015.
