      Description

      Priority: 5

      Description:

There’s no indication in the guide to how to connect to the remote server
and it never displays the option to create local entities (meaning, there’s
no option for remote synchronisation in the demo).

Despite this, in the guide we can see checkboxes that don’t appear on the
offline version. We can see the ‘Create local entity’ checkbox from a
screenshot of the tutorial in No_synchronisation_in_the_demo_1.png while
that option isn’t available for the elements in the application as seen in
      No_synchronisation_in_the_demo_2.png.

        Hello,

Interface Designer GE's implementation is written on top of our two 3D-UI GEs which are WebTundra and XML3D. The synchronization between clients and server is a very different matter, out of the scope of the Interface Designer GE, and therefore implemented as another GE called "Synchronization" (as far as I know, for the WebTundra 3D-UI). The UI in Interface Designer is simply providing means to create local or replicated (synchronized) entities in case synchronization is utilized in the target 3D-UI GE.

Of course, this does not justify the fact that the documentation is misleading you (and probably others), therefore I am updating the User guide to be more clear on the matter of synchronization.
