      Description

      Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to talk about the possibility of Fiware being a partner for the
      World Cities Summit.

The World Cities Summit (WCS) is a by-invitation only event, an exclusive
and premier platform for government leaders and industry experts to address
challenges of liveable and sustainable cities, share integrated urban
solutions and forge new partnerships. The next edition is set to take place
on 8 - 12 July 2018 at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands,
in conjunction with the Singapore International Water Week and CleanEnviro
      Summit Singapore.

Here are some highlights of World Cities Summit (WCS):

. Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize - This is a biennial international
award that honours outstanding achievements and contributions to the
creation of liveable, vibrant and sustainable urban communities around the
world. The Prize is awarded to cities and recognises their leaders and
organisations for displaying foresight, good governance and innovation in
tackling the many urban challenges faced, to bring about social, economic
and environmental benefits in a holistic way to their communities.

. WCS Mayors Forum - This is an annual by-invitation only global
event for city leaders to discuss pressing urban issues and share best
practices with one another. The peer-to-peer platform brings together mayors
and senior leaders from international organisations and urban solutions
industry to exchange experiences in developing integrated urban planning
solutions, building economic and environmental resilience, engaging with
communities and sustaining a high quality of life in urban regions.

WCS 2016 attracted 107 mayors and city leaders. The full list of mayors and
city leaders is listed on our website at
      http://www.worldcitiessummit.com.sg/ministers-mayors-and-participating-city-
      leaders.

During the odd years, the WCS Mayors Forum will be held independently at the
city of the previous Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize laureate. Other than the
mayors, only the invited guests and partners of WCS get to attend this
prestige event. The next WCS Mayors Forum will be held in Suzhou, China from
25th - 28th May 2017, and partners will be invited to this event.

. WCS Young Leaders Symposium - This is a select group of
change-makers from diverse urban sectors to help shape the global urban
development agendas. The Symposium is an exclusive, by invitation, annual
meeting for Young Leaders to discuss common challenges and shared solutions
in urbanisation. It is a platform that harnesses the collective wisdom and
experience of the Young Leaders and to carry out intellectual discourse on
urban issues and launch initiatives to tackle the challenges of tomorrow.

. Plenary Sessions - These sessions are platforms to gain strategic
insights into leadership and governance, and the latest insights on urban
      liveability and sustainability.

. Thematic tracks / Business Forums - Focus on topical issues on
creating liveable and sustainable cities. Case studies and best practices
will be shared by city leaders and practitioners who have directly led the
      projects to their successful conclusion.

We would like to share this excellent opportunity to network with the urban
leaders of the world at the WCS Mayors Forum in Suzhou, 2017 and WCS in
      Singapore in 2018.

Looking forward to welcoming Fiware as partner for the World Cities Summit!

      Best Regards,

      Kimberly Wee
