      Description

      Dear Help Desk,

we are having an issue with data stored in the Budapest node. REST server
is not showing any data at the moment on the FIWARE Lab cloud.
Please help, our previous issue with Object Storage was resolved, but this
is also a problem for some time now.

      Kind regards,

      Aleksandar Šiposki,
      PAYS team,

        Dear Aleksandar,

I could not reproduce the issue. I try our object store from the portal, from our node and a different computer with REST. I used the python script from the documentation of the GE:
        https://forge.fiware.org/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/Object_Storage_-_User_and_Programmers_Guide#Example_Python

So, did you get any error message? Is The issue always or is just some time?

        Best Regards,
        Gergő

        Dear Gergő,

There is no problem with object storage, only with rest server. To be
exact: pays_rest instance on the FIWARE cloud is unavailable. Its address
        is 192.168.1.254.

        Kind regards,

        Dear Aleksandar,

Are you want to use the rest service from another VM deployed in Budapest2 or from outside. If the answer is from outside, you need to allocate a public IP and assign it to your instance. The IP address you mention in your email is a private IP that cannot be accessed from outside. For this you need to go to Security in the cloud portal where on the "Floating IPs" tab you can allocate a new IP from public-ext-net-01. Then you can associate it with your existing VM. After that you instance is available on this public ip (like 148.....). Another thing you have to take care is to open the ports of your rest service in the security group settings.

I hope it helps. If you have any further questions, please do not hasitate to contact us.

        Best regards,
        Sandor

        Comment by siposki@gmail.com :

        Hello Sandor,

We are trying to access it from Budapest2 node (idm_instance). The security
settings (open ports) have not been changed in the last couple of months,
and this was working until about one month ago. We have also tried to
associate the public address, which is currently associated to
idm_instance, to the rest_server instance, but have also failed to connect.
Furthermore, we have tried restarting the instance, but also with no effect.

        Regards,
        Aleksandar

        Dear Alexander,

Could you please check if any other service is available from other VMs? For example, can you connect to the machine through SSH? I have checked the networking settings and many other things, but I did not find anything that could cause the issue.

        Many thanks for your reply.

        Best regards,
        Sandor

        Dear Budapest Helpdesk,

we have been monitoring the FIWARE Lab for changes and for the last few
days we can not access the cloud.

I have to admit that the PAYS web site: www.pays-system.com is working
(this means that all FIWARE services are working), but we have no access to
        the cloud: https://account.lab.fiware.org/.
Can you please fix that issue.

        Regards,

        Aleksandar Šiposki,

        Dear Aleksandar,

I checked the site, but I reached it and it works. Did you get any error message, when you tried it? The portal does not belongs to the Budapest Team. We manage only the VMs on the Budapest Node. If the problem is still, please create a new ticket (write an email with different subject) for that, and we will assign it to the right person.

        Best Regards,
        Gergő
