Description
Dear sir/madam,
First of all. Thanks for the great work you are doing at Fiware! We are
developing a climate control system and are planing for a pilot project in
the near future. When i found out about Fiware about a week ago i thought..
hmmm well this is actually just what we need to ensure good scaleability
and wow an API to work with!
I have been researching about Fiware in order to apply for funding. In that
process i came across the recommendations for submitters :

In the text there is a question :
"1.3.2 Does the application plan to implement some module that will enable
users to generate reports, visualize data statistics and KPIs and perform
customizable data/KPI analysis? Are there plans to use the *FIWARE Data
Visualization and Analysis GE* (reference implementation: SpagoBI) for this
purpose? How?"
Since we are developing a application which need to visualize sensor data
from a client with several sensors , i thought yes, SpagoBi might be
useful. But there is no further information on the *FIWARE Data
Visualization and Analysis GE?*
It is seemingly not part of the GE portfolio?
Maybe i have misunderstood, and it has been incorporated into another GE?
Finally i must say its quite hard to figure out with the limited knowledge
i have about Fiware, which GE´s to use. Will it be ok to write the ones you
are 100% sure on and then experiment on the ones you might use? How many
GE´s would we need to use in order to qualify for funding?

This is a preliminary request on FIWARE GEs, which ones could be used for a climate control system. It involves many GEs: DataViz-SpagoBI and other GEs from cloud and data chapters.
It was created on 28/Oct/14 and assigned to me on 25/Mar/15.
I replied on the same day and tried to involve other GEs owners, but without success: moreover the user didn't provide any feedback to my reply and therefore I closed the issue.

it's Davide Zerbetto, Data Visualization - SpagoBI GE owner.
Actually Data Visualization - SpagoBI GE is a GE by itself, it is not included into another GE, but at the moment it is not available in the FIWARE catalogue. We are working on creating the entry in the FIWARE catalogue, so you will see it in there very soon, but this will be just the first release, with partial functionalities (for example: the first release will not include REST API, that are foreseen for next releases): mainly, the first release will include integration with the IdM and CKAN Data Portal (apart, of course, to all other functionalities provided by SpagoBI by itself as a standalone GE).
At the time being, you can use SpagoBI as it is available on OW2 (http://forge.ow2.org/projects/spagobi).
I think SpagoBI might be useful for your requirements, I suggest you to have a look at http://www.spagobi.org/ in order to see its capabilities and to think about the analysis you want to perform. If you have any doubt, you can send us a draft idea of the analyses and we can think about the right tool in SpagoBI for your requirement. Please specify also where data are available.
Regarding the other GEs you mentionned, I think they are suitable to your purposes but I prefer to forward your request to their owners.
