      Dear All,

      When adding a new rule to a security group, is it needed to restart the
      instance to the new rule take effect?

        Hello Raul,

        If you forget to assign a security group rule to the security group, but
        you created it (security group) and assign it to the server. There is no
        problem to update the security group with a new rule. After it, you could
        use it without need to restart the instance.

        Example of it, you can find in port 22, without it, you cannot access
        through ssh to your instance. You add the rule and then you can access to
        the instance via ssh.
