      Description

Manuel Palacin sent a message using the contact form at
      http://catalogue.fiware.org/.

      Dear all,
I would like why I have to use Sagitta instead of Docker for deploying
software pieces. Could you explain me the differences and advantages?

      Thank you very much.

        Hi
Thanks for contacting us. SDC is a wrapper for puppet master and chef server and allow for installing software by chef recipes or puppet modules inside VMs. Docker containers wrap up a piece of software in a complete filesystem that contains everything it needs to run. They are different approaches.
In FIWARE lab, by using the blueprint capabilities is possible to define a template including hardware capabilities and the software to be installed on top of Openstack services.
        Regards,
        Henar
