      Question:
      Support for Device Pairing?

      Description:
      Hi,

Do we have any support in IoT or Security chapters to support "Device pairing"? i.e. any modules, APIS,etc. to associate users with a mobile device or to an appliance, etc. as used in mobile apps or in home automation scenarios?

Or does one need to write custom code to achieve such a system?

      Thanks,

      ilknur

I have replied on behalf of the Security Chapter. Re-assigning to IoT chapter architect to reply on behalf of the IoT chapter.

        Hi,

That is not the way the FIWARE IoT model works as long as devices and their measurements and actions are translated into data objects at the NGSI level (attributes and command attributes). Data (attributes) may belong to specific groups of users (or even a single user) via the IDM security enabler.

        Cheers,
