Description
Hello,
I am part of the funding team at the Media Innovation Centre Babelsberg<http://miz-babelsberg.de/> (MIZ).
We are always looking for new partners and networks to promote innovative technology at the interplay with content - as well as the projects we fund or to connect them with valuable partners.
The MIZ funds innovative cross-media projects and promotes media expertise. Our offers address students, start-ups, media professionals and journalists. Our focus rests on interdisciplinary exchange with experts to support projects and media professionals in practice.
Our partners include universities, research institutes, as well as renowned technology and media companies.
The MIZ-Babelsberg is an institution of the Medienanstalt Berlin-Brandenburg<http://mabb.de/> (Mabb). The Mabb is an independent public institution, funded by the licence fee for general public access to radio & television.
We would be very interested to hear more about the possibilities to cooperate with the Fiware Network.
Therefore, I am looking forward to hear from you.
Best,
Tanja Peuker

Dear Tanja,
Besides the generic enablers in FIWARE (see the catalog on FIWARE.org),
there is a specific chapter on Web-based UI (WebUI) that focuses mostly
on interactive 3D in the browser and related technology. I am leading
this chapter and DFKI has been doing many projects also in the media
context on top of these technologies/enablers.
An interesting example is the Eu "Dreamspace" project, which we will
show at FMX in Stuttgart tomorrow (in case someone from you is there, we
could meet there in person). Also a good number of SMEs (quite a few
with a media background) have used the enablers as part of the FIWARE
accelerator projects.
Furthermore, there is the Streaming/Kurento enabler in the FIWARE Data
chapter that might be of specific interest. Other generic enablers might
be of interest for general support of media applications.
There also was a separate Eu project "FIWARE Media & Content" or
(http://mediafi.org), that has specifically targeted media and content,
where you also find a link in the FIWARE catalog (right side in grey).
Feel free to contact me directly, if you want to discuss more specific
information. As you might know there is also FIWARE support in Germany,
via BMBF funded projects, for example.
Best,
Philipp Slusallek
