      Description

      Hi, my name is Miguel Páramo and Im part of the IT team for the European
      project PD Manager (
      https://ec.europa.eu/programmes/horizon2020/en/news/pdmanager-mhealth-platform-parkinsons-disease
      )
      In one of our tasks, we are meant to make some effort trying to make use of
      some Fiware enablers in our software. Since our solution includes a large
      feature for the visualization of different data, we thought about using the
      Spagobi enabler from Fiware (
      http://catalogue.fiware.org/enablers/data-visualization-spagobi). Up to
      today we have been making some advancements knowing the insight of this
      project and digging into the solution in order to find out if it would suit
      our needs; so this is the main purpose of this email.

      The issue is, we would like to be able to show the charts either in our
      website or redirecting from a weblink on our project. is there any way we
      can create this charts dinamically given our own data set? in other words,
      is there any way to inject data into this enabler in order to get a chart
      of it? If that is feasible, is there any docummentation we can inquiry?

      If this solution can make our project progress it would be nice just to
      know whether the Spagobi enabler was conceipt so it can serve on a purpose
      as stated. In other case, please let us know so we cn move on and find
      another solution.

      Thanks is advance and many regards.

        Hi
        there are mainly 2 approaches, you can decide the best one according to the type of analysis you'd like to run.
        1. self-service BI: final users can upload XLS/CSV files and save them as SpagoBI datasets; then they can define charts and cockpits starting from those datasets. In this scenario final users can exploit simplified designers, for simple analysis; see https://wiki.spagobi.org/xwiki/bin/view/spagobi_server/Self-service+BI for details;
        2. REST API: you can exploit the SpagoBI REST API in order to automatize the process of dataset and analysis creation and execution. More complex analyses are permitted but of course it requires developments and deeper knowledge of SpagoBI. See http://docs.spagobi.apiary.io/ for details.
        Hope this helps. In case you need more info, do not hesitate to contact us.
        Best regards
        Davide
