          Description

          Hi,

          It was mentioned in several FIWARE conferences the existence of funding
          opportunities for cities related to Horizon2020 and other related EC
          programs fostering the acquisition of FIWARE technology by public entities.
          Can you please let me know which calls are available for cities to take
          advantage of such opportunities?

            Thank you for your interest in FIWARE. For H2020, you need to see the EC website and see their calls.

            For our side you have different ways to collaborate with FIWARE, detailed as follows:

            We have already drafted our governance model for the Open Source Community on how to contribute https://www.fiware.org/fiware-governance/

            Apart from that, there’s being drafted the FIWARE Foundation, which is a separated “entity” let’s say and this is open to any industry or company that wants to invest or participate. We are drafting the details, but we hope to have these soon.

            FIWARE as such contributes the core foundation, that is to say, the GEs and GE reference implementations. These are provided by the consortium members but we have plans to open it up in coming months to open a community.
