      Dear FIWARE Lab users,

This announcement is about Orion Context Broker. If you are not using this
component you can safely ignore this message.

A new Orion Context Broker release (0.28.0) has just been released,
corresponding to the FIWARE Sprint 5.2.2. From a functional point of view,
this version is focused in NGSIv2 API features, some of them also usable in
NGSIv1 (such as the orderBy parameter or the FIWARE::Location::NGSIv2
geo-query scope). In addition, this version also includes a lot of bugfixes
and enhancements in previous existing features. The detailed changelog can
      be found at https://github.com/telefonicaid/fiware-orion/releases/tag/0.28.0

For users of standalone Orion instances (i.e. Orion running in your own
virtual machine), you can update to the new version running (as root or
using sudo): “yum install contextBroker”. Sometimes yum doesn’t detect the
new version, in which case you have to run “yum clean all” befor e that.

For users of the global instance at orion.lab.fiware.org, the change to
0.28.0 has been already done. Note that if you use the global instance you
are agreeing in the Acceptable Usage Policy associated to it (
      https://forge.fiware.org/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/FIWARE_Lab_Orion_Context_Broker_Global_Instance_Acceptable_Usage_Policy
      ).

If you are going to use this new version (highly recommended), please
      review the manuals at http://fiware-orion.readthedocs.org/en/0.28.0

*This is the last version which includes XML support (deprecated since
0.23.0) and ONTIMEINTERVAL subscriptions support (deprecated since 0.26.0).
If you are still using XML clients or notification receivers and/or
ONTIMEINTERVAL subscriptions, you are highly encorauged to migrate to JSON
and/or stop using ONTIMEINTERVAL subscriptions (details in the
documentation). XML and ONTIMEINTERVAL support at orion.lab.fiware.org
<http://orion.lab.fiware.org> will end by early March.*

For any doubt related with this announcement, please send an email to
      fiware-lab-help@lists.fiware.org mailing list.

      Best regards,
