          Description

          Dear all,

          We are two students from WHU in Germany who currently work on a smart farming business model. Our app digitizes the EU regulation that all farm animals have to be registered in a national database. The app simplifies the registration process and eliminates errors. It focusses on registration and deregistration as well as on medication documentation of farm animals.
          We are interested in the fiware acceleration program and would like to know which steps we have to take to apply for the program. Furthermore I do not find information about the scope and conditions of this type of funding. Please advise.

            Thanks for your interest in FIWARE.

            The acceleration programme was set up by the European Commission and it opened a call for proposals that ended up awarding funding to a series of projects (the so-called "accelerators"). The open calls were find and select innovative proposals from SMEs and entrepreneurs for more information please see http://www.fiware.org/fiware-accelerator-programme/ or event you can check http://www.fiware.org/accelerators/

            I am not aware of an extension in the foreseeable future (this should be decided and launched by the EC, anyway). The accelerators have closed their calls and already the SMEs are elected to participate in get such funding.

            However, you should note that currently the platform is available to all, all generic enablers (GE) are open source and you are more than welcome to use it, test it, share it etc. You can check GEs here: http://catalogue.fiware.org/enablers
