      Description

      Hi all,

I can’t connect to my Cloud instance any more. It looks like the public IP address I was given from the Fiware team isn’t available (not even responding to ping).

From my Cloud Portal I can see my instance running and properly associated to that IP.

The VM display too is working and showing the shell at login prompt.

I’m not sure this is the right place to ask for help for this kind of issue but I wasn’t able to find any other help channel.

      Thanks in advance,

      Paolo Marchetti

        Dear Pietropaolo,
maybe I generated some confusion with my email from the wrong sender address
(paolo.marchetti.it@gmail.com). That's why I'm moving the conversation to this
address, which corresponds to an account registered to the Fiware Lab.
My instance is actually deployed in TRENTO node. I made the node migration
several weeks ago, as You (the Fiware team, can't remember if you were the
        person I talked to) requested.
I last connected to the instance about 2-3 weeks ago and it was properly
        working.

        Hi all,

        The VM ( pseydos_orion ) with IP 193.205.211.117,
was over some "strange" status. Now everything seems to be fixed and the VM is reachable.

We tried to ssh login and it is fine:

        $ ssh root@193.205.211.117
        root@193.205.211.117's password:

In your security-group-rules you have not specified the rule for the ping, that is why ping is not responding.
        Waiting for feedback from user

        P.S
Our suggestion, you can consider to put your VM in PAUSE or SHUTDOWN if not using for long periods.

        Hi all,
I confirm that the VM is now fully accessible through ssh. I didn't think
the ping too required a security rule, thanks for the advice!

Thank you for helping, kind regards.
