Description
Hello,
I’m Víctor Martin I work in Aire Networks, a Spanish telco.
We have presented a proposal to be a node and we’ll present another to the
ICT-38 in January. We believe in FIWARE and in its capabilities and for
that, we are interested in be a core member or regular member. Is it that
possible? What steps we have to do? Could you give me more information
about?
Thanks
Best regards.

Dear Victor,
Thank you for your interest in FIWARE.
Now, answering your question, currently you have different ways to collaborate with FIWARE, detailed as follows:
The governance Model is being drafted, and we are planning to create a Foundation, where everyone is welcome to participate and cooperate. You can access the whole document from Community menu https://www.fiware.org/fiware-governance/ and also go directly to some of the chapters that have been highlighted on the menu.
FIWARE as such contributes the core foundation, that is to say, the GEs and GE reference implementations. These are provided by the consortium members but we have plans to open it up in coming months to open a community. We do not have the governance rules yet so we cannot anticipate info. If you have ideas to contribute to our GEris; please check here What is a FIWARE Geri:
http://forge.fiware.org/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/FIWARE_Frequently_Asked_Questions_%28FAQ%29#What_is_a_FIWARE_GEri.3F
of course, the use of the GEs are open and free. You can check it here: FIWARE GEs http://catalogue.fiware.org/
Let us know if you need anything else.
Best regards,
Malena
