in fact, you can achieve a similar app expecience based on pure HTML5
device orientation events.
Please check out our POI "look around" demo at
http://130.206.80.175/poi-client/look-around.html which takes advantage
of this interaction techniques with a proper device (e.g. Nexus 5).
The group of Reality Mixer SEs is made in particular to seamlessly blend
between physical and virtual objects within an AR scene.
