      Description

      Dear coachers

We have receive the following issue:

We are working on Smarthive project.

Actually we have two servers in the cloud:
      1. an Ubuntu based server for custom software/web based frontend
      2. an Orion context broker for connecting sensors, switches…

The web interface is running on default http (80) port. Actually we have one public IP, which is dedicated to webserver.
We would like testing the sensor communication from local Raspberry (which is the gateway for the sensors) to Orion context broker.

Now we can’t test the connection, because that server hasn’t public IP address. Can we have any firewall solution (like the router option under the cloud menu), where we can configure a NAT policy? Or we must install/configure a firewall solution on the Ubuntu server and configure NAT for necessary ports?

      Any help will be welcome.

      Thanks in advance

      Best Regards

          Hi

Following the answer received from Smarthive

          Dear Javier,

Thanks for your – and your tech team - feedback!

The first option I think isn’t possible, because our Ubuntu linux hasn’t the Public IP address. So if I ask the Interfaces and IP addresses, I get just internal IP address.

So if possible I would like request the second option; a new public IP address!

          Thank you!

          Best Regards

          Dear Javier, Ilknur,

I have just modified the number of floating IPs of this project to 2. So, they can require another public IP through the cloud portal.

Tenant id of the project I found was 81bb51b8e91f4b7d97ee60e4d1abb828

          Best,
          Sandor
