Looking on the attached tomcat log, it seems that the CEP could not initialized normally. In the log the CEP reported:

SEVERE: Could not initialize application ,reason : com.ibm.hrl.proton.server.adapter.ProtonServerException: Address already in usemessage: Address already in use

This usually happen when the CEP is activated again when its previous instance was not terminated or not successfully terminated.
In the log I can see that the CEP was activated again, I don't see that it was stopped in between, so this might be the reason.
Please try to stop tomcat and start it again, and run the Unit Test again.

Hi all,

After executing all the steps 1 through 4 of Unit Test 7 - Case 1 [0], I
don't observe the expected result in Step 5.

Note: Steps 1-4 seem to be successful as ProtonUnitTest shows up in Apache
Tomcat administrator tool as deployed and running.

• Expected Result on step 5:

"The new instance is running using the ports configured and the response
from the REST API call looks as follows:

"

• Observed Result, on step 5, when calling the following REST API with
  action GET
  http://localhost:8080/ProtonOnWebServerAdmin/resources/instances/ProtonUnitTest
  is a

webpage with the following message "Could not read instance state,
message: null/webapps/ProtonUnitTest/Proton.properties (No such file or
directory), stack trace: [Ljava.lang.StackTraceElement;@661d3dd"
