      Description

      Dear all,

I have just requested the abilitation for an account with this email for
access to the FIWARE lab resources. I have a couple of questions about the
      GE monitor.

Is it possible to test an already working setup of the monitor modules over
the FIWARE lab?If so, is it possible to do it with a “standard” account or
are further actions by us required?

To use the monitor with Zabbix (or Nagios) on a to-be-deployed VM, do we
have to install and configure it ourselves or are there VM images on the
Lab that come with a pre-installed Agent supported by the Monitor?

      Kind regards,

      Paolo Magnani

Currently, the monitoring architecture is not prepared to make monitoring of the VMs, just only the infrastructure that we have. Nevertheless, the next release (R5) will implement a new Monitoring architecture that allow to know the status of the resources that are deployed by the users.

In that architecture, you do not need to install anything in the VM in order to recover information about it. The monitoring system itself will do it.
