      Subject: FIWARE resources request

Hello, I’m Luciano Rosa from ZenUp (Incense project)

We have a community account in Lannion2 region and we need to increase
      resources.

      The new total parameters are:

      4x VMs: (3 small + 1 medium)

      2x Public IP (already assigned)

      10240Gb Total Ram

      100Gb Total Hard Disk

      Object storage (already assigned)

Could you increase resources for us?

      Thank you very much

      Best regards,

      Luciano Rosa

          Dear Luciano Rosa,

We have applied the changes that you asked for:
          ○ 2 Public IP
          ○ 4 Instances
          ○ 10 Gb RAM
          ○ 5 Cores
          ○ 100 Gb disk

At the moment, the object storage is fully operational through our API endpoints only. Basic functionalities is also available through the cloud portal, but there is a limitation on the size of the files that can be uploaded to containers (files with a higher size than around 90 MB are not uploaded). This is a general problem and it is not specific to Lannion Node.

If you intend to work with other developers, you will need to add them to your organization. For this go to the account manager (https://account.lab.fiware.org/) and add the other users to your organization.

We also would like to remind you to not forget to take regular snapshots of your instances that you deployed. This is a really important step to do because it is the only way to restore your data in case of failure from your side, but also if there is a crash of the compute node where your failing instance is hosted. Instance’s snapshots are stored into our object storage which is fully distributed then it is a secure point to host your backup data.

If you intend to use a volume, for the same reason than above you will also need to take regular backup, but this option is not yet available on the cloud portal. You can do it by command-line from your instance and you can ask us more info if you need it.

          Best regards,
          Cristian
