      Description

      Hello,
I have two instances running on the same network (node-int-net-01).
How can I communicate them? For example, because I have my web app in
one of them, and the POI DP GE in the other one.
I try to ping one VM from the other one and all packets are lost.

      Thanks,
      Ivan

        Dear,

If the two VMs are on the same subnet, they should be able to communicate not to each other. Please be aware that you should configure the right rules in the security group. Moreover in some region you can find useful this tutorial (http://goo.gl/uRzH0r) which explains how to create a subnet using the Neutron component of OpenStack.

If you still have problem, please let me know more information like tenant ID, VMs IPs and region (I suppose Spain2) so I will forward your request to the specific help desk support.

        Best,
        Daniele

        Reply from user:

        Ok thanks, that was it.
I had to add some rules to the security groups to allow some ICMP packets.
