Hi Aimilia,
Yes, Once the floating IP is released, it should usable by any tenant member. I just checked and all of them except one (Angelos Staboulis angeloskomotini@gmail.com) are community users, so they should be able to do so.
Can you confirm you are using the cloud portal when trying to assign floating IP ? this should also work through CLI, it is also the cloud portal is not working like it should.
Can you try anew with the other accounts, and If the problem still persists, please let me know and I will create a ticket to the IdentityManager (Idm) team.
Best Regards,
Erwan

Dear Erwan,
Thank you for forwarding and your guidance (I had just found the initial when I received this email - it seems that I have misplaced some emails).
Indeed, we have asked for only one public IP but the issue had started before any of the members assigning any IP. In fact, we decided to assign the IP through my account "abantouna" (the account that requested for community upgrade) because this was the only account that could do this.
So if I understand correctly, if I release the public IP using my account (abantouna), then anyone from the "MigraineNet Cloud" organization should be able to assign it. Am I right? Moreover, no matter which account (username/password) I choose to use, I should be able to see what has been build/developed using the account "abantouna", correct?
I will ask the rest of the team if we need further public IPs and then move forward according to your advice (through a FLUA ticket).
Finally, regarding the ssh key login problem, I think it had been resolved but I am not sure. I will ask the rest of the team and get back to you as well.
Best Regards,
Aimilia

Indeed this is not the expected behavior. All users belonging to the organization should be able to associate a floating IP. But floating IP allocation is limited through the quota. So if one is still being associated with an instance and your quota limited to 1 floating IP, it is normal that you can't allocate a new one.
If you need more than 1 Floating IP, you have to send us the request through a FLUA ticket.
About the ssh key login problem, Which image did you try to launch your instance ? Did you try several images ? The best advice I can give to test ssh key provisioning is to use image UbuntuCloud-14.04 / ID : 1e2ad593-b201-4a44-8651-513596cbe85a

the following people should be the members of MigraineNet Cloud
Organization (our community account) and thus be community users:
- dkelaidonis - dkelaid@unipi.gr
- abantouna - abantoun@wings-ict-solutions.eu
- AStaboulis - astaboulis@wings-ict-solutions.eu
- dk-wings-2015 - dkelaid@wings-ict-solutions.eu
- KTsagkaris - ktsagk@wings-ict-solutions.eu
- PVlaheas - panvlah@wings-ict-solutions.eu
- vstavroulaki - veras@wings-ict-solutions.eu
Angelos Staboulis - angeloskomotini@gmail.com indeed has not been included
in the community account.
The issue is that not all of the above can see the instances of the
organization. In particular, dkelaid@unipi.gr,
dkelaid@wings-ict-solutions.eu and veras@wings-ict-solutions.eu cannot see
the instances.
Yes, we are using the cloud portal when trying to assign floating IP.
I tried using abantoun@wings-ict-solutions.eu and
astaboulis@wings-ict-solutions.eu and seems to work ok.
However, 5 more public IPs (or at least 3) would be handy.

Hi Aimilia,
Please can you confirm you users have been add to the “MigraineNet” tenant (ID 9eb8b1d355084708899979a1c75139e0) ? I am asking this because I realized the is not the same tenant as the one mentioned in this ticket original post (i.e 9395270285fb4e9fa233b8421c1ccc52). I want to avoid any confusion. If your users belongs to the MigraineNet tenant, indeed there is a problem and I will create a clone of this ticket and assign to the right team (i.e the idm team), but as it is the first time we see this problem I need confirmation before doing this.
About your floating IPs need, can you please create a FLUA ticket (or upgrade the initial one), and describe your needs about those IPs. I am asking this because floating IPs are limited from our side and we need to have some clarifications about their use.
Best Regards,
Erwan

Dear Sir/Madam,
we are collaborating with Angelos in this project. Please find below some
clarifications:
The community account has been requested and received using the account
with the username "abantouna". The respective organization created is
"MigraineNet Cloud" and the following members have been added: dkelaidonis,
AStaboulis, dk-wings-2015, KTsagkaris, PVlaheas, vstavroulaki. The
resources have been provided by "Lannion2" node.
Although these members see the "MigraineNet Cloud" in their organizations,
and can get in, they cannot assign public IPs. The only member that can do
this, is myself (abantouna). Shouldn't they all have access to do so since
they are members of the "MigraineNet Cloud" which has been created through
a community account?
Please advise.
Thank you in advance,
Best Regards,
Aimilia Bantouna
