Description
Hi,
I need to use Kurento for my FI-ADOPT project.
I have launched a new instance of "kurento-image-R5.0.4"
, and allowed all UDP ports and TCP port 8080. I then followed this
tutorial
http://www.kurento.org/docs/6.0.0/tutorials/js/tutorial-1-helloworld.html
to test the helloworld example.
I also changed the STUN server to 203.183.172.196 as the default one
seemed not to work.
Now when I log in to the site http://195.220.224.24:8080/, the page
displays but when I hit start nothing is displayed (at some point I was
able to see my local stream and not the remote stream, but now I see
nothing).
Any idea what is happening and how I should proceed and where I should
look for errors?
Thank you,
In the console I see this:

- Use freeice
- chrome:
{"audio":true,"video":Unknown macro: {"mandatory"}}
- constraints:

You are usisng a tutorial for Kurento Media Server (KMS) version 6.0.0 but an instance of Kurento based on version 5.0.4 and this is causing your issue. You have two options for solving your issue
Option 1: Install KMS v 6.0.0 in a Ubuntu 14.04 box, as specified here: http://www.kurento.org/docs/6.0.0/installation_guide.html
Unfortunately, we don't have yet ready the KMS v 6.0.0 image for the FIWARE Lab. It will be ready in the next few weeks. This is why you need to install KMS by yourself as specified above.
Following this option, you can follow the tuturials of KMS v 6.0.0: http://www.kurento.org/docs/6.0.0/tutorials.html
Option 2: Use the image based on Kurento 5.0.4 but, in this case, you need to follow tutorials of version 5, that can be found here: http://www.kurento.org/docs/5.1.1/tutorials.html
I strongly recommend you to go to Option 1. KMS v 6.0.0 has fixes for several bugs affecting many features of the media server.
