      Description

      Hi,

I'm working at one of the European Pioneers - Zylia - with FiWareLab. We
were given access to our resources (particularly some VMs at Lanion
region). We're running low on time until next weeks demo. We are still
tweaking our cloud service, and it requires fast network connection as we
send and download large amounts of data on this VMs. The problem is, even
if I try to perform simple apt-get update on such a VM, it takes ages to
download few kB of data. Network speed is terrific and it makes working
with FiWareLab impossible. Can You do something about it quickly?

      Best regards,
      MichaƂ Michalski,
      Zylia sp. z o.o.

        Hi,

Indeed we are experiencing some trouble with network bandwidth on our Lannion node.
The following is a temporary solution, and we are working on a permanent resolution about this issue, that we will implement soon.

In order to get a "good" bandwidth, enter the following command as root user in your instance :

        "ethtool -K eth0 tso off"

If needed, replace "eth0" by the actual name of your interface. Once done, you should download around 70/80 Mbps.

        Best Regards,
Erwan for the Lannion Support Team
