FIWARE.Request.Lab.Zurich.FI-Lab Assistance: Attaching a volume to an instance doesn't work.

      Description

      Dear support,

      I'm trying to attach an image to my instance in FIWARE lab in node
      Zurich. I created the volume (this worked) and then I right-clicked and
      selected "Edit Attachments". I selected my instance and left "/dev/vdc"
      in Device name.

      The UI showed a spinner for some minutes. When I hit F5 (to reload the
      page in the browser), the UI showed one attachment, but it isn't there,
      when I ls in /dev on my instance via SSH.

      When I click the name of the volume it states "Not attached" under
      "Attachments".

        This is a very old ticket and there have been some fixes to some problems
        with volume attachment in the Cloud Portal as well as many general changes
        to the system (see https://jira.fi-ware.org/browse/CLD-391 for the cloud portal
        issue).

        Can the user confirm that this issue still exists?

        The issue has been responded to: in fact, the volume is attached but the name of the volume in the cloud portal is not consistent with the naming of the volume inside the VM. This is down to the behaviour of KVM and is documented; there also a ticket to deal with this within the project.

        Closing issue as volume is actually attached but under different name.
