Description
Hi Team,
Im trying to develop some technical skills on the FiWARE platform to test out a concept so apologies if my questions are dumb! But here we go:
Heres what I want to do:
1. Create a persistent store of data that can be dynamically updated via APIs.
2. Create a front-end (app) to get data in/out of the store
3. Allow the datastore to be accessed by other apps
Questions:
1. Persistent Store Can I create the persistent store using the FiWARE cloud portal. When I have just tried to do this I get struck with understand exactly how to do this e.g. create containers, create objects, but then how to create an instance of this exactly. Anything I can read/watch that teaches me how to do this?
2. Create a Front End - Can I use the wire cloud to do this?
Just want to make sure Im on the right tracks
Thanks in advance for any help.
Ken

The Object Store component can be used as a data store in the cloud, and it allows updates using a REST API.
Note that at the moment, parts of the testbed are undergoing upgrades and the Object Store component might not be working.
Before starting, you will need a FiWare account. See https://account.lab.fiware.org/home.
Then you will need to create a container to hold your data objects.
An Object Store container can be created either using the Cloud Portal (https://cloud.lab.fiware.org/#objectstorage/containers/) or directly using the Object Store APIs. See https://forge.fiware.org/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/Object_Storage_-_User_and_Programmers_Guide for details.
There are examples on how to upload and download objects from an application using the Object Store API.
I am not familiar with wire cloud, so I can't comment on that.
