Description
Hello!
We are a group of young business information technology students and co-owners working on a project at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences that aims at using FIWARE Technologies for a new videographic learning platform to be used in schools, universities and creative industries. In addition, our project aims at submitting a proposal for the second round of CreatiFi Program in August-September 2015.
We are interested in few features needed to implement our project’s backend. We were wondering if you would be kind enough to assist us. We basically need to implement just a few functions in the current project. All we need is a system that provides users to upload videos on our web site(from their PCs or web cameras), watch and download them later. The technical idea is in merging some small video clips(1-2 minutes averagely) into one long video (at server side) and allow user to download the whole thing.
We would be very much obliged if you could help us to chose the technologies or tools that we can use to develop our project. Can we use Kurento or it is better to pick an another tools? We wonder if you would do us a favor and help to decide what is the best solution for our project and described functionality. Any suggestions, instructions, manuals or tutorials about how to use any of the suggested tools will be highly appreciated.
We shall do our best to make our project done. Thank you very much!
Best regards,
Leonid Zadorozhnyk

Dear,
You can get information/help about the FIWARE platform on:
To start using FIWARE, I suggest to create a Trial account and give it a try. Unfortunately for now the registration for trial accounts are closed and you should wait until registration will be opened again before sign up.
I suggest you to check Term and Condition to understand the topology of account you can request on FIWARE Lab: https://forge.fiware.org/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/FIWARE_LAB_Terms_and_Conditions
About the specific request, probably Kurento media server is at the right choice but also the Object Storage GE can be useful in your case to do storing of uploaded videos. Here you can consult the complete GE catalogue: http://catalogue.fiware.org/enablers
Regards,
Daniele
