      Description

      Hi Ahmed,

Both CEP and ESPER are CEP (Complex Event Processing) engines that detect
      patterns over incoming events.
One of the differences is that the CEP allows you to define the
application logic through a web user interface without the need to write
your definition and queries as code.

The language of the CEP and ESPER are different, and since I am not
familiar with the ESPER language, I don't know if everything you can write
in one technology can be written by the other.

      Best regards,
      Tali

      Subject: CEP and ESPER

      Hi Tali,

Just a quick question, I was wondering what is the relationship between
      CEP and ESPER ?

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Esper_(software)
      http://java.dzone.com/articles/complex-event-processing-made

Can CEP functionality be expressed via ESPER ?

      Best,
      Ahmed Sadek
