        Dear Fred,

If I understand you tried to connect with this command: "ssh -i xxxx.pem ubuntu@130.206.115.224", and it did not work. (Some image's username is 'root'.) The instance does not have default password. You can connect only with keypair. If it does not work, I will forward your issue to the second level support. Which region do you use?

        Best Regards,
        Gergő

        Dear Fred,

you can connect to the VM with ssh keypair. When you create the instance, add your keypair to it. You can find the keypair in the security menu (keypairs).

        Best Regards,
        Gergő

        Dear Federico,

It's not possible to access the VM using a password. The generated images has the user account with a disabled password for security reasons; to connect, the SSH tool with a keypair must be used.

If you connect to the VM without using the key or if the VM was launched without specifying the key to use, then a prompt asking for the password appears, but it is not possible to log because the user has not a valid password.

Please, go to http://help.lab.fiware.org/, at the "instances" tab there is a video tutorial (it is only 6minutes long) explaining how to launch and access a VM, including the SSH part. Special attention should be pay to this steps:
*Generate a keypair at security/keypairs. Keep the PEM file with the private key
*Launch a VM; in step 2 the generated keypair must be select
*Use ssh -i <filename.pem> to connect using the private key

        Best Regards,
        Chema
