Hi, perhaps it is a newbie question.
We are merging fiware proposed tech in our architecture (Contex broker, big data...), we already deployed our instance of Orion and we are now integrating fiware proposed Big Data solution. What we learnt from Madrid Developer Week is that we can use Cosmos instance in lab for testing purposes, but we did not find BigData images on fiware cloud for deploying ours.

The thing is that we are going to store customer private data that cannot be shared.

¿What could be do? ¿Is Cosmos an instance not an image that we could deploy for us? ¿So what is fiware recommendation? ¿Should we use hadoop directly? ¿Is there a less complex solution?

      Thanks,

        Hi Jose,

First of all, apologies for the delay in answering you.

As explained in Madrid, the Big Data enabler is based on a large cluster of machines, thus it cannot be instantiated within a single machine as you usually do with other enablers e.g. Orion Context Broker. Thus, a shared Hadoop cluster is available at FIWARE LAB.

Please observe the cluster is shared in terms of infrastructure, but not in terms of data, i.e. each user owns a data space that should not accesible by other users (any system is 100% secure).

Which is the nature of your data? Which are you time constraints regarding the accelerator program you are in? The last question is relevant because we are going to release an improved version of the current shared cluster that will add native FIWARE security mechanisms.

        Regards,
        Francisco
