Dear team of FIWARE,
I am a participant of the Speed Up Europe Accelerator in Hamburg. I
asked Olaf-Gerd Gemein and Leandro Guillen to assist us with technical
requirements. Unfortunately they could not help us, but they gave us
your mail contact.
We need the following server configuration for our solution:
AMD Opteron 6338P
64 Gb ECC RAM
500 Gb SSD
2 x 2 TB SATA 7200 rpm HDD
2 x
Intel Core i7-3770
32 Gb DDR3 RAM
200 Gb SSD
7 x 4 TB SATA 7200 HDD
How can we get this via the FIWARE framework?

Dear Alexander,
I am afraid the Lab does not support physical server provisioning, and the amount of resources you require are a way beyond normal ratio. I will check with nodes, but I am afraid, you have only two options:
- down scale the resources needed for developing your solution in the lab;
- opt for a commercial hosting;
Do you really need so much for testing developing and testing your solutions? or this is the final configuration for running a commercial provisioning?

Hi Federico,
thank you for feedback! I will discuss this with my team. But i think, we can scale the requirements down for the testing.
But later we will need the amount, because we are doing realtime textmining in combination with large data cluster in Hadoop.

Dear Alexander,
Thanks for contacting FIWARE first level support. As far as I know, since FIWARE Lab is a IaaS environment based on virtualisation you cannot specify hardware resources like specific type of CPU, disks etc… Moreover I don’t know if any region provides SSD disks.
Please let me forward your request to second level support which has a better overall picture than me and can confirm/discard my assumption.
