      Description

      Dear FIWARE Team,

I hope this email finds you well. My name is Lucas Gamarnik, and I am
reaching out on behalf of Munidigital, a government technology (GovTech)
company. We are currently participating in a public tender for the
implementation of a Smart City Platform, and we have received a
recommendation stating that the platform should be based on open standards.

We have come across FIWARE, the initiative created by the European
Commission (EC), which presents an open and innovative framework for
creating scalable and interoperable Smart applications and services. We
understand that FIWARE is an open-source platform that allows cities to
easily adapt and replicate successful initiatives from other countries or
cities. The ultimate goal of this project is to foster a vibrant community
that promotes the development of Smart applications aimed at enhancing the
      quality of life for citizens.

We are particularly interested in how we can ensure compliance with the
open standards requirement stated in the public tender. Could you please
      guide the following points?

Open Standards: How does FIWARE support open standards? Are there specific
standards or protocols that FIWARE is compatible with or promotes? We would
like to ensure that the platform we develop adheres to open standards for
      seamless interoperability.

Data Publication and Interconnectivity: The tender also emphasizes the
importance of open data publication and sensor connectivity. How does
FIWARE facilitate the publication of open data and integration with various
sensors? We aim to leverage these capabilities to enhance our Smart City
      platform.

European Interoperability: It is mentioned that FIWARE ensures
interoperability among Spanish and European cities, and several cities have
already published open data and developed prototypes using the platform.
Could you elaborate on the measures or features that support such
      interoperability?

We believe that FIWARE's features align well with the goals of our Smart
City project, and we are keen to explore its potential further. Your
guidance and insights would greatly assist us in understanding how we can
utilize FIWARE effectively to meet the open standards requirement and
develop a successful Smart City platform for our municipality.

Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter. We look forward to
      your response and further collaboration.

      Best regards,

      Lucas Gamarnik
      COO
      Munidigital
