Hi Ignacio,

Your definition file seems fine.
Please be aware that the CEP can run one definition project at a time. So
if you succeed to send it a TrafficReport evemt, it means that it run the
example project definition and not your definition file.
When you export a definition from the UI to the engine, it means that the
definition is kept in the definition repository.
If you want the engine to run with it, you need to change the CEP engine
status to run with the new definition and to stop and start the CEP
engine.
All can be done through REST commands, as described in the api doc.

I added cc to the FI-WARE issue tracking system to document this issue.

It seems that my problem is related to my new Project "FISTARDEMO" created
with AuthoringTool. Maybe be some missed step configuration?

Dear Ignacio,

Usually this error is due to an issue with the format of the input event.
Please make you defined the event with exactly the same name and that it
has one attribute called score.

If you did not find the problem, please send me your definition file
(using export to a file).

I am working at FISTAR Project (https://www.fi-star.eu/fi-star.html) and
for our use case we want to use the CEP GE.

I have installed CEP in a Ubuntu server 12.04 with Apache Tomcat 7.0.50

I am testing the CEP capabilities baed on information at
http://forge.fiware.org/plugins/mediawiki/wiki/fiware/index.php/Complex_Event_Processing_Open_RESTful_API_Specification
and when I try to execute the following REST request

http://10.1.22.131:8080/ProtonOnWebServer/rest/events

Method: POST
Header : Content-Type : application/json

I get the following response

"Could not parse json event java.lang.NullPointerException, reason: null"

I am reviewing the tomcat logs but I don´t find any advice that can help
me to know what is wrong
