I am writing to introduce myself as Jacopo Zannoni, an M&A analyst currently working at Lyra Partners, an Italian M&A boutique located in Milan. At Lyra Partners, my responsibilities include originating potential deals in Italy and executing relevant projects, such as valuation, DCF modelling, and distressed M&A. Additionally, I have been involved in assisting a medtech startup to close a new round.

Prior to my current position, I have worked as a private equity and venture capital analyst at Lio Factory, an Italian Family Office, and XyenceCapital, the private equity branch of Lio Capital. During my time at these companies, I was involved in scouting potential targets, finding synergies, developing roll-up strategies to boost operational and financial efficiency in fragmented sectors and startup ecosystems, and assisting in the divestment process of Principia III – Health, the largest (>€200m AuM) Italian Private Equity fund focused on healthcare and biotech. Specifically, I played a key role in the divestiture of Gada S.p.A., Rigenerand S.r.l., and Anabios Inc, and in defining the strategy for the fundraising of a new private equity fund.

As mentioned in my CV, I pursued my master's degree in Management (majoring in Corporate Finance) at Bocconi University. This decision enabled me to better apply the theories I learned in a practical setting, particularly in the Corporate Finance field. During my bachelor's degree in Economics and Finance at Bocconi University, I learned the fundamentals of investment and portfolio analysis, which sparked my interest in small and mid-cap companies and ultimately led to my focus on the M&A and Private Equity field.
